Downloading it now!

What site? or thingy? or whatever it's called are you using? I tried Muxtape but you can only upload MP3's.

here's what i've been doing...

* first i make a playlist in i-tunes, in the order i like.

* then, since i have an external hard drive, i drag the mp3/4 files from my "music folder" to a folder on my desktop. this makes a copy file, since my external is separate from my computer.

* since i don't quite know how to adjust mp3's without doing this, i then dump the copied files back into i-tunes. i go to "recently added" files, highlight the mix and right-click on "get info". then i name the "album" and add artwork. if you right-click "get info" on the tracks themselves, you can order them too. hopefully that worked this time?

* then i take the desktop folder (with the mp3/4's in it) and make a zip file out of them (right-click and scroll down to "send to"... compressed zip folder should be an option).

* then i upload the files to a filesharing host, like rapidshare or yousendit or mediafire this time.

sorry for the long instructions. if you have a mac this stuff might be slightly different. and you could probably eliminate a few steps by not numbering tracks and adding artwork, but that's part of the fun to me?

....much later....
I wish my Summer was as good as this summer mixtape. It downloaded in to my itunes in a different order but still almost perfect.
I'm danc'n (funky style) to "disco africa".
Thanks for the info on making the music. I'll give it a try.

finally had a minute to sit and listen. nice mix. the royal trux song is really good. they fell through the cracks of my 1990's somehow. i guess pussy galore and jon spencer just got more rotation.

btw, it loaded in a different order into itunes for me too, but when i arranged the songs by album, it snapped into the order you had them in.

weird about the order thing... anyway, glad everyone is diggin these. royal trux escaped me in the 90's too. i think i associated the girl with herion chic or something. i wish there were more rock and roll bands i could get excited about right now. when i make these sometimes i feel like i have to fight the urge to make everything from the 60's and 70's.
