i haven't seen mtv in like 4 years. i have no idea if these are shoved down everyone's throats or still under radar, but they're both good pop songs. viva abba and the cars.

big l - all black
negative as all hell. have to bracket it in "this is a cartoon" quotations for me to feel ok about certain lines. down there with the lyrical nihilism of schooly d 'i wanna get dusted' or pretty much anything by mobb deep, but this guy was one of the best in terms of mc skills, and the backing track on this is incredible. candidate for top ten of all time freestyle. if you had to battle big l lyrically, you would pee your pants.

sorry to jump into serious territory here, but this bit from hardball struck me as about 100 times more intelligent than anything else i've heard regarding the murder of dr. tiller. i wish people could calm down long enough to hear facts like the ones these pundits seem to be offering here...
