so, you guys have all probably seen barney frank's hilarious retort to a (dare i say vaguely cute?) lyndon-larouche-crazy-person. but the rest of that town metting was pretty batty as well. i can't help feeling a bit of a morbid fascination with this.

also, does anyone know what lyndon la rouche's deal is, politically? i tried going on his website, and it was so convoluted that i decided to abort mission. i know why glenn beck thinks obama is a fascist (something to do with deficit spending during the weimar republic), but i don't know what these la rouche people are yammering on about, particularly since they're often depicted as "from the left"...

the larouche set is true libertarian in the sense that they dont want income tax and decry government spending of any kind. where they differ from neo cons is that they are also against the military industrial complex. their literature against bush was just as virulent as it is against obama but the larouche set was muffled then in the same way all anti war dissent was . larouche people also are really against the world bank and their positions against great britain almost makes it seem like we didnt win the american revolution.

ahh, thanks... didn't know they were so close to libertarians. it's weird how globalization has created all these strange bedfellows, like lyndon la rouche, ron paul, pat buchanan, amy goodman, noma chomsky and alex jones might all oppose NAFTA or something, but for a really wide variety of reasons.
