...you can't sink the titanic...
the willow house was a fucked up little house we used to call home while we were at tyler school of art together. the house was condemned by the city. now we're all scattered all over the place, far from willow ave. i thought this might be a good way for us to keep in touch and share music and whatever projects we're working on. maybe also give each other a kick in the pants to make art or whatever.

this song is pretty great. more and more, i'm starting to warm up to power pop lately.
also the first girl i ever kissed had the same haircut as the girl in this video, only a bit shorter. kinda the girl equivalent of the early nineties butt-cut. i remember thinking it was pretty vanguard that she had short hair. times have changed.
oh, and the bass player looks like andy samberg mixed with art garfunkel.
i feel like i've seen that garfunkle guy in la. and new york too many times to even count. is someone i know friends with him?
his name is keith gendel and he is the brother of nyc painter jackie gendel, a friend of erin and i. i never met him but when i first met jackie papas fritas was pretty big and jackie and i started talking about indie rock which devolved into an argument cause i said i no longer liked pavement/wowee zowee sucked/guided by voices are better etc. we eventually mended fences when i moved to nyc she was my friend melissa's roommate and by 2000 nobody was defending pavement anymore. the helioself record by papas fritas is my favorite. jackie is a great painter this is the most recent show i saw of hers.
