dude this made me laugh really hard last night at like 4am. i love how bewildered all the kids are except for the one little girl in the pink who's totally diggin it.
this clip reminds me of that feeling that happens when you're dancing sometimes and the music is ridiculous, and you suddenly realize that the energy the whole room has had to dance to ridiculous music is starting to diminish but you're still dancing anyway. if you don't know what i'm talking about, you're lucky.
this clip is kind of about sobriety to me, i guess.
i was tempted to post all 20 or so episodes of chic-a-go-go featuring the likes of los crudos, slint, some bobby conn cohorts, and many more. there's a great clip of a little girl pogo-ing around to a dolly parton song about being a mule-skinning woman. i think i put a song on a mixtape on here a while back by mr. pacman called "pacman dansu" that features monotrona on vocals. i never realized she was a white girl, though. i thought you had to take special kawaii drugs that are put in the japanese water supply to sound like that.
