...you can't sink the titanic...
the willow house was a fucked up little house we used to call home while we were at tyler school of art together. the house was condemned by the city. now we're all scattered all over the place, far from willow ave. i thought this might be a good way for us to keep in touch and share music and whatever projects we're working on. maybe also give each other a kick in the pants to make art or whatever.

this strikes me as a homage to vera chilytova's great film daisies. an erink weckerle favorite if i'm not mistaken. justin, if you haven't seen it-- please do. it's sort of the feminist counterpart to makavejev's w.r. and sweet movie...

sweet movie is currently in my queue, although reviews of it don't seem too great. danny, i'll let you know what i think.

as for sweet movie, i think w.r.: mysteries of the organism is the real masterpiece of the dusan makavajev stuff-- but that might be the nostagia speaking (weren't you around when we watched that, erin?)... both are thoroughly worth a look, as is montenegro (which crierion has yet to pick up)-- and is less radical on the surface, but is ultimately about similar things, etc....
