chris smith sent me these two great videos. totally forgot about dr. hook. i loved this song particularly as a child. chris also had this to say about the dude with the eye patch: "imagine if we could walk around looking like the dude w/ the red shirt and eye patch and it was legit, like not even an act. that dude's vibe is so natural that i had to watch the vid 3 of 4 times in a row in order to pinch myself and accept that some folks are just tuned in so well."
also go to jack's show at fleisher/ollman right now. i am about to leave for it in a minute.

i knew pakalolo and mellow legend were tight, but my man can apparently watch this 4 times and not notice that the guy in the red shirt and the guy with the eyepatch are two different people. now that's getting your feet tickled.

i'm trying to remember what that guy yelled out of his car window to t.c. in culver city. "got some acid, man?" or something. dickhead summer look is closer to hippy than ever.
I'm not stoned Justin, I just had watched around 2 hours of the hook on youtube before noon yesterday. He wears a red shirt sometimes, but always has the patch and the precise moves. TC and I partied hook-style last night with a gang of 22 year old girls. We did the backwards walk/dance/enthusiasm vibe and had a lot of laughs. Watch all the hook you can, especially the acapulco goldie jam. I like to have a good time and feel like she afords me better skills to do so. Illegal turquoise middle age is gonna be a blast.
Oh yeah, the guy took a look at Tony and yelled "why don't you take some acid, man".
