has anybody ever read any of john waters' books? he's really lucid, and surprisingly open-minded in his tastes. in one of them-- i think it's shock value-- he has this long bit about marguerite duras that i thought was really funny and amazing...
"art, a sex book" is good, too. co-written with critic bruce hainley, it's basically a catalog the two of them curated for an imaginary contemporary exhibit of their favorite work.
He's awesome in most ways. You can listen to 5 or so interviews with Terry Gross on the Fresh Air archives. His Chirstmas album is amazing. One song he chose is about Santa being black and having an afro sung by a child.
the willow house was a fucked up little house we used to call home while we were at tyler school of art together. the house was condemned by the city. now we're all scattered all over the place, far from willow ave. i thought this might be a good way for us to keep in touch and share music and whatever projects we're working on. maybe also give each other a kick in the pants to make art or whatever.
