On the 2nd Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina I found this old clip. James Booker's greatest record was Junco Partner. He was unpredictable.

the willow house was a fucked up little house we used to call home while we were at tyler school of art together. the house was condemned by the city. now we're all scattered all over the place, far from willow ave. i thought this might be a good way for us to keep in touch and share music and whatever projects we're working on. maybe also give each other a kick in the pants to make art or whatever.

I love James Booker, not only because his middle name is Carroll, but I found some early 45's of his on the street in New Orleans right when I moved there. (Gonzo with the flip side Cool Turkey). I found out James Booker played on alot of the Fats Domino records. Its said that he sounded more like Fats than Fats himself. He is definitely the most loved gay, eccentric junkie keys man in all of New Orleans.
