did you see head yet, justin? it's pretty amazing, especially if you're already sold on the dark side of the monkees. the story behind it is crazy too. bob rafelson directed it (of five easy pieces fame... he also co-created the show, if i'm not mistaken)... monte hellman worked on it as an editor, i think... script by jack nicholson (who cameos with dennis hopper). it's really dark and fairly upsetting, and the music is by-and-large pretty good too.
also, i'd recommend reading the imdb bio on mike nesmith. totally weird guy. his mom invented white out, he sorta invented MTV, he was an early prodigy of alt-country after his time with the monkees, the list goes on.
i thinkni've just figured out how to upload zip files of several mp3s... if so, i might put together a mix tape for these parts, and if i do, i'll include some head stuff on it.
the willow house was a fucked up little house we used to call home while we were at tyler school of art together. the house was condemned by the city. now we're all scattered all over the place, far from willow ave. i thought this might be a good way for us to keep in touch and share music and whatever projects we're working on. maybe also give each other a kick in the pants to make art or whatever.
